In February 2018, I was driving by a property on 36 near Delaware. There was a sign on the road that said First Methodist Church. It was 7:00 am and no cars were in the gravel drive, so I pulled in just to relax and pray before the meeting I was heading to in downtown Delaware. On the property, there was a maintenance building and an open-air pavilion
As I prayed, I heard a car pull up. When I finished there was a younger man who turned out to be the youth minister of the church. I got out of my car and asked him what was the future of the property. He said one day, a new church home but for the foreseeable future just to hold worship when the weather permitted at the pavilion. We stood in the pavilion and I said "...what if RestoreUS helped you enclose the space and add heaters." With that statement, I got a puzzling look. Over a two-month period, RestoreUS, along with the efforts of Jim Strieb, came up with a plan for the church that would allow for multi-season access. The pictures of the space tell the rest of the story. God's timing in our lives continues to amaze me and I am continually strengthened by His grace!
