Our team from Fusion Church out of Lexington, OH was sent to serve one of the hardest hit areas in SW Florida. When we arrived, we met with Destiny Church in Naples to see who had the biggest needs. They led us to a community full of love, but full of poverty. Five guys, two trailers filled with supplies headed 57 miles out of Naples to help the people of Immokalee. Our guys were amazed that people all said they were okay but knew a friend, a neighbor, or a family member that needed more than they needed. The people we helped only took what they needed and nothing more. We were able to help families, individuals, and a local school. While working with one particular family, our guys' hearts broke to see the devastation. They had to pull out every item this family owned and put it on the street. This family of eight felt our love and commitment to serve them.
It is a blessing to be able to give and see people happy. There is no better feeling in the world. I'm thanking God and blessed to be serving.
